Mounted on windshield, as it interfered with my gear shift on dash, and didn't adhere securely to dash where I wanted to place it. Worked out for the best, as I can angle it exactly where I need for easier access. As for the adapter, I also thought it was too big for my outlet, but I squeezed the side prongs inward and it fits perfectly. I like that my phone can be easily inserted or removed by touching the metal piece on either side, opens and closes smoothly, and holds phone securely. I do have a case on my phone, it's a double sided clear case, not a thick case. Easily rotates, charges quickly, worth the money.
